Armadillo

The Armadillo on the Swinomish Channel

Armadillo is a 50′ foot ferro-cement ketch sailing vessel. Built in 1979, in the previous owners backyard, Gary McLaughlin, an excellent shipwright. Based on a Samson C- Baron design, she has been modified with an all weather wheelhouse ideal for Pacific NW weather. She is roomy inside and has more deck space than most sailboats. Easy to sail, low center of gravity, means she doesn’t heel over like other sailboats and is a comfortable ride. I encourage my guests to help me sail the boat, raise the sails, and take the helm.

Amenities aboard include, a full galley (kitchen), including range, oven, BBQ, cooler, and everything you need to cook. An inverter aboard provides charging for electronic devices.

Three double bunks, provide sleeping for three couples. the sleeping arrangements also work well for families. The bunks are arranged two aft and one forward.

The Pentdragon
